    Greetings, Art.

I have always enjoyed your saxophone playing with Bobby Paunetto – very tasty.
My question is, did you record the song “Aguantando” only once? I have an earlier version on Seeco records that sounds like it was recorded before “El Sonido Moderno”. Could you please tell me if you played on that recording?

    Many thanks,
    Miles

Although I don’t Have a copy of the track “early Aguantando”, I’m sure that it is me that you heard, since I was the only horn soloist with him through the years.

Bobby Paunetto recorded the group several times at his own
expense. That helped secure the recording contract with Seeco Records.

We worked a lot and there is also a video/film recording of the group done at the afterhours club “The Seclusion,” where Monty Rock was the host/mc. There may also be a filming done at The Manhattan Center.

Now that Bobby has sadly passed, I’m free to write to you about the “genious”
    that was Bobby,

Let me know if you’d like to have my recollections of him provided.

    Hey JoeBro,

Traveling a lot and back to respond. Yes 3 locations: 7th Avenue South @ 10th Street, 61st Street & 3rd Avenue
and Lexington Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street. They existed for 8-12 years and are closed now. Studied
acting for almost 3 years and performed mostly Arthur Miller excerpts/full productions with a group/troup at lower
    Manhattan theaters. Very pretentious performers.

    Hey David,

Thanks for the kind words. I’m still asking around re: the film. No luck yet. Now that Bobby has died, I don’t have the phone contacts that he mantained.
